We’re now giving 1% of our annual revenue to the planet.
Making Life Look Better is in SunGod’s DNA. Every day, we are working to challenge what has come before as we continue to build a brand that both we and our community can stand behind. As we continue this journey, we’re excited to announce that from today we are now part of 1% for the Planet.
This means that from now on, we have committed to give at least 1% of our annual revenue to sustainability-focused nonprofits. We’re proud to say that supporting charitable partners isn’t new to SunGod, having raised over £30,000 for charities in the last three years. However, our partnership with 1% for the Planet ensures accountability and fosters trust in our collaborations with like-minded brands, businesses and charities as we continue to grow.
What is 1% For The Planet?
1% for the Planet is a global family of businesses, individuals and nonprofit organisations, who are financially committed to creating a happy and healthy planet for all.
What's the mission?
1% for the Planet was founded to prevent greenwashing, certify reputable giving and provide accountability for businesses. The 1% for the Planet certification is given to businesses and individuals who meet their high-bar commitment: to donate at least 1% of annual sales or salary to environmental causes. You can always give more, but you should never give less than 1%.
What does this mean for SunGod?
It is our collective responsibility to protect our adventure playgrounds and we will continue to support charities dedicated to doing just this. The concept is simple, we're now committed to giving at least 1% of our annual revenue to sustainably-focused nonprofits such as Protect Our Winters, Surfers Against Sewage and the Bike Project.
