Help us give freedom to those that need it most.

Why SunGod x The Bike Project?
At SunGod, our ethos is simple, make Life Look Better. The Bike Project are on that same mission, and their tireless work in transforming the lives of those they reach is why this partnership makes perfect sense to us.
Most refugees and asylum seekers come to the UK to flee unimaginable atrocities and hardship in their own countries. Not being allowed to work in the UK, they are given only £39.63 per week to live on by the government. A bicycle is an everyday tool most of us take for granted and often ride simply for pleasure, whereas for a refugee, a bicycle can mean quicker access to food banks, accommodation, healthcare and a community. Quite simply, a bicycle can be the lifeline that enables independence and hope.
Not only this, by repairing and rebuilding bikes to give them a new lease of life, The Bike Project are creating a circular economy that stops perfectly useable bike parts from going to landfill and turns them into a safe, reliable and green mode of transport.
"SunGod is a brilliant organisation and brand. The fact that they're striving towards B Corp status means that ethically, they match what we're doing here at the Bike Project. Being a well-known brand in the cycling industry, we know that a partnership with SunGod will really help us beyond just financial support. We're excited to share The Bike Project with the SunGod community, a hugely relevant audience for us, and hope that many more people will be inspired to support our mission!" Jem Stein, The Bike Project Founder.
